Celebrating the Power & Beauty of Black History Month with Friends
Honoring the Life-Changing and Powerful Contributions of African Americans throughout U.S. History.
In collaboration with El Nido Family Center, Better Tomorrows and Children’s Institute, Gordon Philanthropies celebrated Black History Month on Friday, February 25th, at the Jordan Downs Housing Community. On this beautiful sunny day honoring African Americans’ life-changing and powerful contributions throughout U.S. history, the children congregated at the community park in anticipation of fun activities, such as Black history bingo and African drum lessons. The musicians played African drums, and the swaying of hips and stomping of feet was contagious. Continue reading
