Gordon Philanthropies Celebrates Christmas with SHIELDS for Families
In partnership with SHIELDS for Families, Gordon Philanthropies honored the true meaning of Christmas by distributing gifts to children in low-income neighborhoods.
Thanks to the festive holiday bash hosted by SHIELDS for Families, children were able to experience a visit from Santa Claus and Ms. Claus. Not coming empty handed, the Clauses brought gifts with the help of their elves at Gordon Philanthropies. Gifts included a copy of Anna Dewdney’s, Llama Llama Holiday Drama, and a $100 gift card to help families purchase groceries during the holidays.
In addition to receiving gifts, families also enjoyed a special reading of Llama Llama Holiday Drama by voice actress, Mindy Fortune. Surprising children dressed up as a polar bear from the North Pole, the celebration kicked off the holidays with joy and excitement.
Founder of Gordon Philanthropies, Dan Gordon shared, “It is a great honor to stand in partnership with SHIELDS for Families. The great work that this organization does day in, and day out is inspiring. I know that our challenges as a nation persist, with many of our families struggling to make ends meet. This celebration for the families in both of our programs aim to embrace the true meaning of Christmas, see humanity in each other, hold up our brothers and sisters in need of support, and nurture our children’s spirits as a reminder that they do not stand alone.”
